Sailing through the dead of night
On their way back home
Captain said he saw a light
Upon the ocean's foam

It didn't shine from any lighthouse
And there's no land close to here
When he called all hands onto the deck
It brightly reappeared

The tempest raged on through the night
All onboard feared for their lives
The ship had listed then began to break
Then all at once the storm it died
They came out on the other side
They thought it was some miracle
A miracle of fate

So sail to the light
Help is on the way

An eerie presence filled the air
Yet they had no sense of dread
Better to be over there
Than on the ocean bed

They all agreed they'd never seen
A light quite so intense
Beckoning them to proceed
So further on they went

Captain cried out, 'Come on boys!'
It looks like we don't have a choice
Even if we tried to get away
Our fate was sealed within the storm
I thought that we could carry on
But every chance of that has gone
And we don't have a say
